When I was a kid, I had this kind of attraction to certain things that I saw, like most of the kids. Some of those things that attracted my attention were ball gowns. I first saw them on some kind of musical opera on the television. Then I began to draw those princess-like ball gowns during my spare time after school in the afternoon - before going to dance classes or before I did my homework.

Teen, I started to admire fashion illustrations inside a teens magazine, and made my own "collections" - I still remember, I called it "MJ inspired collection" (MJ as in Michael Jackson) - he was very famous with his new album Thriller back then, and that's where my imagination (or inspirations) came from. But that's it, I've never sent my illustrations to the magazine, they were gone the day after (maybe mom, or somebody cleared up and cleaned up my messy desk).

Life goes on. By the time I was finishing high school and it was time to choose our next destination, the school organized some kind of talent and psychological test to help students see what kind of potential and interest they may have for their future. This test clearly showed me a result that suggested I go to a design school. But when I brought the result home, nobody took it seriously.

I wasn't going to a design school. Anyway, I went to a computer school and became an IT worker for several years before I got married. After I got married, we moved to a foreign country, then we have kids, I raised my kids, and we moved from one foreign country to another ever since. When our kids both attended school, and we could settle down a little, I took the time to learn how to sew, and took night sewing classes, and then in July 2013 I enrolled myself in a month long summer course at Esmod Paris to learn a bit more about fashion design and pattern drafting. It was only a summer course, but it was my starting point.

Now I think I kind of make my childhood dream into reality. My passion for fashion became my occupation. I do what I love and I love what I do.
